Outdoor learning and homeschool programs in Downtown Brooksville, Florida. A Wild Home offers seasonal programs and summer camps where children build real-world skills such as gardening, foraging, woodworking, journaling, herbalism, and community-based learning in a thoughtfully designed outdoor classroom.

Children develop practical skills while also learning how to collaborate, communicate, and contribute meaningfully within a group.

Founded and led by National Geographic Certified Educator and Certified Permaculture Designer Amanda Jo Boener, A Wild Home offers intentional, skill-building education rooted in community, curiosity, and wonder.

Programs are supported by John Boener, a professional woodworker and craftsman with over 20 years of experience in fine cabinetry and carpentry, who leads hands-on woodworking classes and mentors students in practical skills.

Together they guide students through meaningful work, collaborative learning, and real-world skill building in a small, supportive community.

Our Mission Since 2016

Cultivating Community
Children gather in small groups where connection, collaboration, storytelling, and shared responsibility are part of the learning.

Celebrating Curiosity
Questions, observation, hands-on work, and exploration are welcomed as meaningful parts of how children learn.

Nurturing Wonder with Nature
Learning happens in relationship with the living systems around us through seasonal rhythms, mindfulness, practical skills, and time outdoors.

Programs are offered for several age groups, allowing children to grow within the community over time.
